My name is Paul Molina; I'm Akimal O'otham, (Pima) Pee Posh (Maricopa), Quechan, Pawnee, and Hispanic from the Gila River Indian Community in Southern Arizona.
Freelance illustrator, graphic designer, and self-taught artist with experience in a wide range of mediums: pencil, pen, watercolor, acrylic paint, aerosol paint, mixed media, etc. Also, skilled as a graphic designer producing logos, brochures, web materials, photography, and videography for media outlets. Read more... I was also featured in a movie called "In Circles," playing the main character "Isaac Rivers". In Circles was produced and directed by Roberto and Claude Jackson and also won an award at the LA Skins Fest in 2015. *(More about In Circles here) My artwork comes primarily from my traditional heritage background. Taking the Pima and the Maricopa tribes of the southwest and intertwining the two to tell my story from both sides of the fence and creating a hybrid of evolving artwork. My Identity as an indigenous artist is to visually tell our story from the Huhugam (those before us) and how they thrived off the land and rivers that once flourished throughout the valley of the Pima and Salt rivers.
