Solo Exhibit at the Hu Hu Gam Heritage Center

​In November of 2017, I did a solo art exhibit with the Huhugam Heritage Center named "Form & Function," showcasing a collection of my newest works depicting the Gila River Indian Community's culture and history of the Pima and Maricopa tribes. 

Form & Function revealed over ten new art pieces of traditional patterns, colors, and flowing black outlines on various surfaces. Then, stepping out of the usual acrylic paint, I ran with aerosol paints on a 4'x4' wood panel, adding a larger perspective to my recent more minor works that I'm known for. 

I also displayed current graphic design logos sketches created for local businesses within the community. Some of these included; Gila River Transit, Native Brew Coffee Shop, and the Huhugam Heritage Center, to name a few. 

I also introduced Seven Layer Army Skateboards (SLA) and displayed stencils and a skateboard along with a short skate video that looped produced by Reuben Ringlero from Apache Skateboards. Together we organize/host skate comps for local businesses/departments looking to reach out to youth by using SLA to represent them in their educational programs. We love hosting these events for the community, promoting safety when skateboarding, and having fun.

I had a great experience displaying, showcasing, and demonstrating my art to everyone, and I plan to do something like this again soon. I look forward to working with you all on more exciting projects soon.
